WTF! Clary Croft welcomes All Things Creighton

Well... it's almost Hallowe'en and no doubt tricks will abound, but on Friday, October 25th there will be no tricks at WTF!... only TREATS! Those tricksters, Cindy & Margo, will be silenced in favour of Guest Host Clary Croft in his last public appearance before heading south to his winter residence.
Clary invites you to bring songs, stories, influences, memories, variants from other collections or even contemporary songs & stories inspired or influenced by the work of his beloved mentor, folklorist Dr. Helen Creighton.
So... being invited by Clary to do just that, and seeing a definite need for equal opportunity for TRICKS... I give you...
ALL THINGS CREIGHTON...and slightly creepy... as befits the season :)
Young Mr. Croft was definitely a hunk! "Mirror, mirror on the wall. Who's the fairest one of all?", he sang while gazing lovingly at his impossibly beautiful reflection. "I'M SEVENTEEN COME SUNDAY, blessed with a golden voice and more than ready for NANCY'S COURTSHIP".
Young Clary had been smitten with LOVELY NANCY's buxomcharms ever since he first spied her  MANTLE SO GREEN while traipsing along. THE BANKS OF SWEET DUNDEE"IT WAS EARLY MONDAY MORNING and RUBY WERE HER LIPS", he reminisced. "Oh how COURTING IS A PLEASURE!"
Unfortunately... just then, his reverie was rudely interrupted by the answer emanating from the mirror. "Young Clary, Sir, 'you're fair 'tis so... but fairer still is JACK MUNRO". Clary could scarcely believe his ears. What manner of trickery was this? "Mirror, mirror on the wall. Who's the fairest one of all?" he tried again. The voice declared "Behold the FALSE KNIGHT ON THE ROAD. Compared to him, you are a toad."
Clary was incensed! As if possessed,THE JEALOUS LOVER struck the mirror until it smashed  into smithereens on the floor. The sound jolted Clary out of his trance and in horror he surveyed the damage. "Now I've done it! Seven years bad luck and the shards ALL ROUND MY HATtoo!"
Poor Clary! He had no idea that his beauty was closely aligned with the mirror's. As the mirror aged, so Clary did not! And he had no idea that injury to the mirror could disrupt this delicate balance as he watched the mirror magically reassemble itself before his eyes. But not as before! Instead of antique tarnished gold and dust encrusted jewels, the mirror was positively glowing.
Also unbeknownst to Clary... he was most definitely NOT! Completely oblivious, Clary watched in fascination as the magic mirror renewed itself. Once whole, the mirror presented herself toTHE OLD MAN she encountered wheezing and struggling to  before her. As Clary stared into her fresh face, his wizzened countenance stared back and Clary realized with horror that this time, things were going to be very, very different. But not for long. Outside the open casement window,  THE CARRION CROW patiently waited.

WTF: Saints and Sinners!

Hi gang,

Well... it was bound to happen! While we have fiercely promoted our "no projectiles to be thrown at performers regardless..." rule, we have neglected to announce anything resembling "restrictions" or "limited access"  directed towards potentially unsavoury influences.
It's our own fault really! We should have anticipated the inevitable interest in us... especially considering one of their domiciles is in close proximity on the corner of Oxford and North.
So... let this be a "heads up" to be on your best behaviour because... on Friday, October 11th... for the very first time since its inception... WTF! will most likely be graced by the presence of Saints as the night's theme is the all inclusive
SAINTS SINNERS.
Unlike our regular evenings when only the latter reign supreme, we now must contain ourselves and show some decorum :)
